While some shoes are epic classics on their own, others are etched into our urban make-up through cinema and great product placement. Clever marketing no doubt. The Air Jordan 13 is one of those sneakers. Widely known for it’s role in the Spike Lee movie “He Got Game” in 1998, this Jumpman silhouette pushed the boundaries of design. The look was bold and not like anything at the time, while also being the first digitally designed Jordan shoe.

The Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game” left a footprint in sneaker culture as one of the most popularly known pair of basketball kicks. The smooth design of black leather (and some suede) with quilted white signature panels and red detailing on the tongue, outsole, and Jumpman branding is a winner. Check out snaps below of this beauty.

When I take a walk down memory lane, I remember always thinking these were in the top 3 Jordan 13 iterations. This was back when shoes dropped mid-week and it made you want to skip first period to make sure you grabbed the latest heat (sorry Mom).

The Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game” made a comeback in the Jordan Countdown Packs in 2008 and again in 2013. They re-release this week on 8/4, and you can SHOP THE SNEAKS below on release day for $140 USD in grade school sizing. Don’t sleep on this pair, shawty.
