Cop or Can: The Nike React Sertu

Many sneakers that we love go beyond materials and laces.  Some take us back down memory lane, and a majority of them are inspired by a person, place, or thing.  We are constantly checking for sneakers that are still available at retail price, and variety gives us the opportunity to spice up the weekly rotation.  The Nike React shined during release given the innovative ways to improve and elevate the tech that makes our feet comfortable.  The latest Nike React Sertu’s 10th collection is not only a unique silhouette, but a tribute to one of Nike’s founding fathers – Bill Bowerman.

At first glance, the Nike React Sertu is a fall season sneaker with various earth tones in the upper and React midsole.  Memorializing Bill Bowerman’s heroic efforts during World War II, the upper features tabs that reads “The 10th”.  The nylon upper plays on a military aesthetic detailing with mixed materials of suede and leather overlays adding depth and texture.
