Let’s introduce you to a pair that’s been breaking necks all over the e-streets. Chi-town is bringing heat next week during All Star, and it may catch you by surprise. We know that a vast majority of sneaker fanatics are checking for the most obvious silhouettes with All Star being in Chicago. However, local Streetwear designer Joe Freshgoods has lit a fire under the hype with the debut of his New Balance collaboration.
When quality and creativity come together, it’s a beautiful thing. Taking cues from Joe’s mantra of “No Emotions Are Emotions”, the birth of this bold colorway came at the right time. The sneaker represents the slogan that is all about action versus the hard flex. Joe is walking the walk without having to say too much - this sneaker is amazing y’all.
The colorway on Joe’s New Balance 992 is a mix of vibrant colorblocking, utilizing tones of red, pink, and burgundy. The upper is constructed of NB’s premium mix, featuring tan leather, mesh, and suede. My favorite is the bold pop of blue laces that Joe teased on Instagram. The design was also inspired by the anatomy of the heart.
But there’s more. The capsule is also releasing apparel which includes, sweatpants, shirts, hoodies, and jerseys. Joe Freshgoods is bringing the FYE while reppin’ his city. The exclusive collection will drop during All Star weekend. Even though the release on 2/14 will be limited to an All Star pop-up, we are keeping our eyes to social media hoping for more information (for those who aren’t in Chicago). The sizing run? Time will tell. Just know these will be GONE.
