New Balance x Patta 991 | Release Information

New Balance has always been fond of using OG sneaker styles as inspiration for new designs. Much can be learned from the past and as the saying goes: ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ This stands true for a lot of New Balance silhouettes including the coveted 991. With the 991 turning 20 this year, New Balance has teamed up with Amsterdam-based Patta to bring us a sneaker that’s perfect for the spring months ahead.

The New Balance x Patta 991 celebrates the 991, the first silhouette out of the iconic 99x series. The sneaker features ABZORB technology in the forefoot and heel followed by a new and improved midsole design for all-day comfort. A streamlined toebox adds to the shoe’s superior comfort, synonymous with New Balance’s wider family of performance running models. Shades of blush pink suede and nude leather overlays adorn the shoe’s upper. Sage green mesh panels and laces finish off this earthy toned shoe and makes it perfect for spring.
