As part of it’s ongoing A-ZX series, Adidas has been partnering with a variety of brands that span across all industries to release redesigned ZX models. It has shed light on some brands that are often forgotten about or that we have not previously been exposed to. Nevertheless, Adidas is continuing their efforts and their latest partnership is with Berlin-based boutique, Overkill, which fuses two different ZX models.

The Adidas x Overkill ZX8500 combines the ZX8000 and ZX9000 models to create the ZX8500 model, a first of its kind. The bright, fluorescent colors are what first catch your eye and a nod to Montana Gold graffiti cans and concrete-hued mudguards represent the graffiti-covered concrete walls in Berlin. A crossover between the Overkill logo and flammable warning signs on the heel pays homage to the warning labels found on spray paint cans. The most interesting component is perhaps the shoe’s black mesh overshoe that is included that has an ‘OK’ message printed on its side in a graffiti style font. A collaborative t-shirt capsule with Atmos will also be available to commemorate the partnership with Overkill and Adidas. Take a look at the images below to get a closer look.

WHEN IS THE ADIDAS X OVERKILL ZX 8500 RELEASING?

This sneaker is definitely for those sneakHERheads that love to experiment with bold colors and redefined silhouettes. The Adidas x Overkill ZX8500 will be available exclusively through Overkill’s website on April 9th. The shoe’s are set to have a price tag of €140 EUR or approximately $165 USD. Please note that additional shipping and taxes may apply due to their European origin.
