PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1

Initially released back in December 2021 in South Korea, G-Dragon is back to release more of his unique Nike AF1 shoe. This silhouette pays homage to his home peninsula’s athletic culture in Korea and gives it a more personal feel. He has combined different elements that relate to him the most in this new release: starting with his real name, Kwon Ji-Yong, his brand, PEACEMINUSONE, and adding in the recognition of the Korean combat style known as Tae Kwon Do. The PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 doesn’t look like anything on the market right now, and we’re loving the creativity around it.

Taking from the original AF1, the clean, all-white premium leather colorway starts everything off. Immediately, the shoe flap takes over the lacing system as it showcases the trademark logo. It’s accented by classic brogue details, his branded daisy logos are embroidered at the heel, branded insoles and PEACEMINUSONE branding are on the bottom of the shoe. The shoe also comes with a specially branded shoebox that completes the overall packaging.

ARE THE PEACEMINUSONE x NIKE KWONDO 1 STILL AVAILABLE?

The US release dropped February 26th with a retail price of $180 to Nike SNKRS and select stores with raffle opportunities. Unfortunately, they have sold out but you may be able to get your hands on them on resell. Either way, we have to respect the craftsmanship and how well his culture was included all together to tell a story. Are you feeling them? Let us know!
