ASICS joins forces with students at Charlotte Lab School for "Eternal Summer" GEL-LYTE V

ASICS teamed up with students at Charlotte Lab School to design the “Eternal Summer” GEL-LYTE V. This campaign, launched by the Whitaker Group, involved hands-on learning with students at the new, progressive North Carolina public school. Over the course of a school year affected by the pandemic, students logged into weekly virtual learning platforms where they learned all aspects of creating and marketing a sneaker of their own. By teaming up with the design, marketing, merchandising, sales, and creative branches at the Whitaker Group and ASICS, the students had the opportunity to work with industry professionals to conceptualize and unveil this sneaker.
The ASICS x Charlotte Lab School “Eternal Summer” GEL-LYTE V comes in two colorways, gray and orange. Inspired by the colors of the playground, the gel cushioned sneaker offers maximum comfort for children and adults alike. This shoe boasts premium hairy suede details and custom script insoles. The gray pair features pistachio green accents and the yellow pair features Moroccan blue accents, matching the colorful sunrises and sunsets of the summer time.
