WMNS Air Jordan 8 'Taxi Yellow and Black' | Release Info

It’s been a while since we’ve been blessed with a new Air Jordan 8 silhouette and Jordan Brand’s summer 2022 lineup didn’t come to play! The Air Jordan 8 first released in 1993 and was created by Tinker Hatfield. It’s also the last shoe that Jordan wore before his first retirement. When asking anyone, they’d probably tell you the AJ8’s most iconic colorway would be regarded as the ‘Aqua 8’. The AJ8 silhoutte is one that doesn’t get the much needed love it deserves because when you talk about the classics, there’s no way this silhouette can be left out the conversation.

This WMNS exclusive is straight to the point and full of energy. Black leather is the star of this show as it’s the distinctive color that makes up the base of the entirety of the shoe. Black is also the featured color of the soles and laces. A much needed pop of color comes in heavy with the Taxi and Opti Yellow accents. These accents are spotted on the Air Jordan crisscross straps, the midsoles, and in the design of the tabs right above the midsole. Topping off the design is a chenille textured Jumpman logo in Opti Yellow located on the tongue of the shoe.
