Sneaker News: See The First Official Shots From Rihanna's Puma 'Creeper' + Preorder!

While she’s been taking New York Fashion Week by storm, it’s Rihanna’s sneaker style that has been making us swoon all summer long. Whether jamming in the studio in streetwear favorites like Thrasher and W.I.A. or a late night NYC tattoo run, RiRi has demonstrated her distinctive approach to marrying high-low pieces with her sneak game. Always one to add a sportswear element to her ensembles, the 27-year-old is now launching her first collection, Puma by Rihanna, available today on for presale. 01-rihanna-puma

We’ve seen the creeper-style sneaker-shoe hybrid on the superstar for quite a while (if you need a re-cap check out our favorite Rihanna Creeper style moments!) but now it is finally ready for the public. Available initially in black with a white Puma stripe and black sole, the first version is all punk everything. All-black and all-tan editions, both with gum soles, will be released on September 25th.

Those currently in the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week will also be able to grab a pair at a popup at 312 Bowery Street, between East First and Bleecker Streets, in Soho from September 15 to 17. The Puma pop-up store will be open from 12 to 5 p.m. on September 15, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on September 16 and 17. Limited pairs will be available for sale during the pop-up, and purchases will be limited to one pair per person. This will be the only brick-and-mortar store worldwide where consumers can purchase the black-white colorway early, as well the other two creeper colors from the September drop.

Snaps: adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott 2015 Fall/Winter Lookbook

Jeremy Scott pairs hippie movement-inspired looks with basketball-themed swag in his latest collection for adidas Originals. The venerable designer (and celeb fave) returns once again with a look at the Fall/Winter 2015 offering, which offers a varied mix for both men and women. Inspired by the hippie movement in the ’60s and ’70s, the collection draws from the “flower power” look of bright-printed jackets, shorts, and barely there bikini sets...because Fall/Winter in California looks completely different, y'all.

Faux fur is also added to the mix along with an interwoven basketball jersey dress that will probably turn up on Katy Perry sometime this year. The gallery is topped off with another look at the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals “B-Ball” Wings hi-tops, which are available now. The rest of Jeremy's colorful collection will hit retailers on September 11.

Snaps: Serena Williams Is Greatness In New Nike Court Collection

Strong. Powerful. Beautiful. Greatness is a word only reserved for a few and Serena Williams is one where the word comes naturally. The superstar Tennis player embarks upon the chance to pick up her 23rd Grand Slam over the next two weeks with the start of this year's US Open tonight. The folks at Nike spared no expense in acknowledging this feat with the release of Serena's very own Nike Court Collection.

Greatness is a word ripe with subjectivity. But when it comes to Serena Williams, there is no debate. Williams defines it. She has captured more trophies than need counting, always working towards the next, pushing herself and her sport to the next level. This summer proves her greatness all over again, and she's nowhere near done.

The collection, which hit stores and online on August 27, includes the NikeCourt Bomber Jacket and three different Nike sneaker silhouettes. Take a look below at the collection.

Snaps: See The Latest Shots From Rihanna's Puma Campaign

After rolling out images of Rihanna's Puma campaign in physical locations earlier this month, the sportswear company has officially unveiled the third ad for promotional release. In all three ads, Rihanna rocks an assortment of Puma's stylish sportswear options, including layered shorts and sweatpants and sports bras. As noted in the physical ads, the BadGal is rocking the Ignite XT's on her feet. The familiar "Forever Faster" slogan returns as Puma continues their push to compete, especially with female consumers, with the likes of adidas and Nike.

This is only the third ad we've received since Rihanna joined Puma as creative director. We are still waiting for a look at the collaborative collection from the team, but until then we'll be content with ads and Rihanna's constant jaunts in her Puma gear.

So excited for this collab!

The magazine, which honors designers and fashion houses monthly, chose to highlight a select the cool kids of fashion in a list of who's who in design land. Karlie highlighted the work of legendary designer Calvin Klein in the photo captured by Angelo Pennetta.

Snaps: Kehlani Gets Personal For FADER Cover Story

Photos: Joyce Kim for FADER It's hard to believe Kehlani, the Oakland-bred songstress Atlantic is banking big on, is only 2- years old. After the release of her latest mixtape, You Should Be Here, Kehlani and her Tsumani crew headed out on a national tour backed by Atlantic and the indie fan base that has generated a massive organic buzz for the Oakland singer that seems to be her driving force.

The rising star sat down with Fader to cover their August/September issue and really give folks a glimpse at just how far she’s come since her couch surfing days in Oakland. Plus, the sneaker-lover snapped a few shots in her Nike Huaraches. We are not mad. Take a look at a few of our favorite Kehlani quoteables below:

Screen shot 2015-08-05 at 9.45.56 PM

On Learning Her Craft and Her Ultimate Objective

“Factually, hits intrigue me,” Kehlani explains. “As a songwriter, I break down a song’s melody, hook, timing, patterns, wordplay. I study Max Martin and shit. But now, I just focus on making what I make.” For her, crafting a distinctive sound and brand trumps any one big single. “Some people’s whole objective is to make money, and you can hear it in the song,” she says. “That’s never my objective.”

On What Separates Her From Everyone Else

“Hard work always beats talent,” she says. “That’s always been my thing. Girls pop up singing raw every day. But how many of those girls write their songs? How many of those girls spend this many hours in the studio? If I’m singing like they’re singing, but I’m putting in work too, it’s going to happen.”

Screen shot 2015-08-05 at 9.47.46 PM

On Her Own Personal Struggle

“There were times where I really had to do shit like wait outside of a train station and snatch iPhones out of peoples’ hands and run and sell them,” she says. “I went through people’s houses. I ran through cars—all type of shit that I feel like made me grow up so fast. I’ve been banned from Walgreens. I’ve been banned from Walmart for stealing fucking clothes and food. Lucky’s caught me with a box of Wheat Thins and some bread. I was like, ‘Can’t you tell I’m stealing because I’m hungry?’”

On Her Ideal Relationship

“The type of music I make is based around love,” she explains. “I think I function better in a relationship because it gives me things to write about. As I’m learning somebody, I’m able to learn myself.” Her ideal relationship is mutually character-building and monogamous. “I want to be with someone who makes me work harder and keeps me on my toes, where I’m enjoying watching them grow and they’re enjoying watching me grow,” she says. “I don’t want to be fucking with a bunch of people. I don’t want to carry that much around with me—in my energy, in my career, in my music.”

Meet Some Of The #Chickspiring Women Featured In Solange x PUMA's "Word to the Woman" Collection

Solange Knowles and PUMA have joined forces once again for the launch of the latter's Fall 2015 collection dubbed, "Word to the Woman." Solange steps in to profile 15 influential women from various industries to give some real-life appeal to the celebration of women and female empowerment. When I saw the headline (and the corresponding website) for this movement, I instantly did a small dance in my swivel chair. Even though I didn't exactly know the full story quite yet - I knew that Puma and Solange together is always a pretty good thing.

Now that we've got some perspective on the collection that “celebrates women who innovate and redefine roles in varied walks of life" we thought it would be pretty awesome to meet some of the women selected to represent #Chickspiration from different perspectives.

There will be shaking”; and “There’s no such thing as an average girl.” Illustrator Priscilla White, pattern designer Kendra Dandy, and street artist Paige Smith crafted the artistic backdrops which we love because, #Chickspiration - duh. :) So, how did the folks at Keds come up with each one liner? Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners partnered with Keds to seek insight from more than 10,000 women across eight countries to learn how they define “female empowerment.” Themes represented include constant evolution and setting your own path.

Snaps: Xhibition Puts The Yeezy Boost 350 To The Plié Test

This week, a number of folks will campout in hopes of getting the new Yeezy Boost 350, the latest in Kanye's Adidas collection. And most of the people who nab a pair of the $200 shoe will pretty much never wear them. If they do they'll tip toe around for fear of a stain, scratch or minuscule sign of wear. But Xhibition, a high-fashion/street shop in Cleveland, OH, decided to do away with sneaker pleasantries and put the new Yeezy kicks to the ultimate test: pliés and arabesque. Check out their video and the accompanying snaps below.
