The dynamic pairing of Pharrell Williams and Adidas has delivered some of the most colorful and highly sought-after sneakers out there. It’s no secret that everything Skateboard P puts out with adidas is an instant crowd favorite, but the Tennis Hu’s popularity is a little up for debate. The lower cost alternative to the ultra-exclusive NMD Hu is more widely available but still has that Pharrell touch to the design. This summer, Adidas and Pharrell released an updated version of the Tennis Hu with the “SOLARHU” pack. About the inspiration behind this pack, Pharrell explained,

Africa is a beautiful continent and the origin of civilization. Running is a state of meditation. Why not go back to the motherland and take inspiration from such a vivid and rich culture? Why not create a tribute to this incredible sport?

The Tennis Hu V2 shares much of the same aesthetic of the original but with some key updates that add a bit more depth to the design. This sneaker released in two primary colors, Yellow/Grey and Red/Grey. Each shoe features a Primeknit upper that includes specs of black and white. Like the original version, there is the Adidas and PW branding on the tongue tag and heel tab. The key differences on this version are the leather eyestays and the grey suede overlays on the forefoot. These changes are small but definitely take the sneaker to a new level. This sneaker is available now for $130 USD. This Tennis Hu V2 was a step in the right direction for this silhouette and I can’t wait to see what colorways Skateboard P has lined up next. What do you guys think, is this V2 a Cop or Can? If this is a must cop for you, you can SHOP THE SNEAKS below!
