Sneaker Diary: Happy Hour in Reebok Classic Nylon SP

Happy Monday, y'all! One thing I love about living in Texas is that, no matter where you live, we're pretty fortunate to have more than a few dope cities to visit for a staycation. In the last month I've made the drive from Dallas to Austin for my birthday and to Houston for a working weekend. Typically, Houston and I don't really see eye-to-eye. The humidity is INSANE, traffic is INSANE, and literally every time that I go I encounter some sort of ridiculous downpour. All three of these things were present on my most recent trip to H-Tine BUT, I was in good company with our Social Media Intern, Kassie, as we made the trek to shoot for our partnership with The Container Store and to see our Managing Editor, Cassidy.

While we were primarily there to get this shoot done, we made some time for a little fun and a mini happy hour at Present Company HTX which is basically the most colorful sports bar I've ever been in in my life.

I didn't get a ton of pictures (I was too busy trying to find our waitress and waiting for my food) but, I'll definitely be back for the atmosphere alone. In all honesty, the only times I really go out for happy hour anymore is: 1) when I have friends in town or 2) when I'm in another city. Since Present Co. is more of a sports bar than an upscale lounge, I kept it simple with a white baby tee, camo pants, and a brand new pair of Classics that I received from our friends at Reebok a few weeks ago.

I've been a fan of the Reebok Classic Nylon and the Reebok Classic Leather for FOREVER (literally since free lunch, btw), so when this revamped take on the Classic arrived in my mailbox I was ready to try them out. While I would probably opt for a half-size larger since they run a bit small, I gotta say they're VERY light and VERY comfortable. The semi-stretch nylon and noeprene tongue made it relatively easy to just pull these on for a grab-and-go effect. There is also a removeable sock liner which, I'll probably try removing on my second wear to see if that gives me some extra room. And, to be honest, I'm a huge fan of this 'Fierce Gold' colorway - it adds a pop of color to any outfit and it goes well with different prints. All in all I'm very pleased with these and at just $80 USD, I'll definitely consider grabbing another pair in the multi-color or the black.
