Jordan Brand took things up a notch and announced a 20 year partnership with HBCU Howard University. Howard is one of the most esteemed HBCU’s in the country with a history and legacy that’s ingrained in excellence and don’t even get us started on their very notable alumni. The purpose of this partnership is to bring awareness to the communities within the university and provide those communities with an outlet to amplify their voices.

With a huge focus on athletics, Jordan is hoping this partnership will help to further create new opportunities in collegiate sports within HBCU’s. Together, both parties wish to inspire a new generation of dreamers to strive and push for excellence. To coincide with the partnership, Michael Jordan himself along with Jordan Brand will also be committing $100 million USD to the Black community to help further advance the work of committed organizations involved in the movement of helping to fight towards creating systemic change.

The future for the athletic programs at Howard University is burning bright. Howard’s first Jumpman uniforms will be revealed on August 27th. Along with the aforementioned initiatives, Jordan Brand is also anticipating creating new opportunities in the recruitment process that will elevate both the academic and athletic experience for students on campus.
