Two weeks ago we had the opportunity to visit the Dream Big Give Big event in Chicago; a collaborative effort between Timberland and Dream Town.

Dream Town has been a staple sneaker store on the Westside of Chicago. The ‘Dream Big’ event features an afternoon of music, food, art and fun. Every hour from 12 pm - 5 pm attendees had the opportunity to win a pair of Timberland shoes! Not only could you win free stuff there was a raffle of custom Timberlands where all proceeds went to supporting the Association House of Chicago.

We could call this an in-store block party because it features live shoe painting from Jas Petersen, Black Ink Chicago's Van, Jet, and more. There always was a face painting and balloon animal station for the kids in attendance. Let's not forget the vegan food by Via Rose.

There were two barbers on site who provided haircuts for the children in attendance making sure they were fresh for school on Monday. The event also hosted an amazing panel of artists in the Chicagoland area. Grammy Award Winning artist GLC, singer-songwriter Kaye Fox, B96 Radio host Gabe, Alan Brothers from the Remix Project and Art Director Brandon Breaux who's latest work with Chance The Rapper and Budlight can be seen everywhere.

What was great is we also brought awareness to Dream Town. As seen above we all were rocking a new limited release by Timberland apart of their Flyroam Collection. The shoe features both suede and leather for a modern design. If you're feeling them you can cop them too in store at Dream Town or Timberland's website. I'm rocking the Women's Flyroam Hiker Boots in Black.

We're hoping to make this an event that happens every year that benefits different schools in Chicago. It was amazing to see two brands come together for community and even better to see the kids of the Westside of Chicago leave inspired.
