Nike just dropped a fresh new colorway of it’s latest silhouette and this time, it’s just for the ladies. I love a sneakHER with a backstory; I always feel more connected with the shoe knowing where it came from. The Pre-Love OX’s story is pretty interesting, the silhouette was loosely inspired by the Air Pegasus 83 and named after running legend, Steve Prefontaine. The icon participated in the 1972 Olympics and the retro style of this shoe definitely nods to this. From the oversized swoosh to the inside-out Nike tag, the sneakers are a retro look that I’m not mad at.
This new colorway arrives in a minimalistic “Summit White” with pastel pops of color. The upper is dressed in shades of white that utilize nylon and nubuck fabrics. This creates a super clean base for the key feature of this shoe, the swoosh. The iconic swoosh is oversized on this silhouette and incorporates a gorgeous holographic material. Adding to the boldness of the details, is the semi-translucent gradient sole. The sole features a beautiful gradient of pink, green and blue that add to the holographic feel of this shoe. The sneaker is finished off with an inside-out retro Nike tag on the tongue, white laces and “Nike Swoosh” embroidered on the back-heel tab.
The Pre-Love Ox is super lightweight and giving me all the summer vibes. This holographic sneaker is versatile and budget friendly, ringing in at just $80 USD. Talk about a steal! The Pre-Love OX is available now via our SHOP THE SNEAKS button below.
