The Nike React Element 87 is Back in “Light Orewood”

Arguably the best new silhouette of the year, Nike really did something with the React Element 87 last year. Whether it was that translucent upper, the lifestyle form of the React technology or that deconstructed Off-White look, the sneaker became a favorite for many. From collaborations with UNDERCOVER to CNK’s Style Editor, Ticara, designing her own, we’re super excited for this sneaker in 2019. The first colorway of the new year is dropping soon, and we hope many are coming after.
Dropping in ‘Light Orewood,’ this Element 87 is all about the details. The translucent upper is covered in grey and tan panels that create the perfect base for the bold accents to shine. Standout details include the midfoot swoosh in ‘Total Orange’ and the neon ‘Volt’ detailing on the eyelets. The sneaker is completed with that React midsole in crisp white with ‘Volt’ appearing again on the midsole’s plugs.
This colorway is all about those bold details and I’m loving it. While this sneaker is slated to release January 11, it seems like it will be a Euro exclusive first.
