When the AIr Force 1 Fontanka came out this past August, we were taken aback- in a good way.

Nike had just celebrated its 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1 and unveiled a new sneaker during the festivities. The Fontanka was born from the ideas and art of the post-Soviet Union. It’s a sneaker that celebrates St. Petersburg nightlife and has a silhouette that’s as stoic and tough as the Russian people it’s modeled after.

This time, Nike is decking out the kicks with translucent neon vinyl overlays. Clips under the overlays allow sneakHERheads to customize the Fontankas to their liking. “HAVE A GOOD GAME” is written in electric green font over the plain white leather uppers and is seen embossed on the lower left heels. Smiley faces with over-ear headphones are on the purple and orange heel tabs. Glow-in-the-dark rubber outsoles make these sneaks pop in dimly-lit computer rooms, perfect for avid gamers.

While we don’t have an official release date for these Fontankas, we can expect them to drop before the ends (and hopefully in time for the holidays).
