For the sneakHER girls who love a little luxury, adding this new addition to your collection will definitely kick your outfits up a notch. Louis Vuitton has recently unveiled “Charlie”, the French fashion house’s first unisex and eco-conscious sneaker. The conversation of being more eco-friendly in the fashion industry has been ongoing for years, but it has not always been on the forefront in the luxury sector. Louis Vuitton’s Charlie sneaker could pave the way for many more developments with sustainability products and accountability overall for fashion brands.

The Charlie silhouette features 90% recycled and bio-sources material, and a sole made up of 94% recycled rubber that allows for shock absorption. The upper will come in a low and high-top version with a sleek white, black and grey colorway. The upper features a white, smooth recycled polyester and corn-based plastic, with recycled laces and an insole and lining made up of polyurethane and recycled polyester. On the heel lay the LV monogram accent.  The sneakers will also come with a newly redesigned version of the fashion house’s packaging made of 100% recycled cardboard that can turn into a transportable bag.
