When it comes to industrial minimalism, few streetwear brands hit the nail on the head quite like A-COLD-WALL. The brainchild of British designer and creative Samuel Ross, A-COLD-WALL* captures the techie underground street culture of the UK, influenced by brutalist architecture, global industrialism, and the evolving idea of what “modern” looks like in design. Since its inception in 2015, the brand has partnered with sneaker giants like Converse and Nike for rugged, urban versions of our favorite silhouettes.
The newest collaboration between Converse and A-COLD-WALL* is a mirrored twin set of Chuck 70s. Coming in “Silver Birch” and “Pavement,” the two canvas sneakers carry an industrial, blueprint-esque vibe. Warm-toned neutral tones keep things minimal, but the contrasting tongues and metallic text on the uppers make the shoes stand out. Translucent rubber midsoles add a further clinical touch.
