Puma Teams Up With Breana Stewart For First Women's Signature Basketball Shoe in 10 Years

It’s been 10 years since a signature women’s basketball shoe has been released. A whole decade has passed since one of the sneaker giants has presented a WNBA star with her own silhouette; meanwhile, there’s been absolutely no shortage of sneaker deals handed to NBA players. Puma (like us), is over it. This week, Puma is breaking that decade-long drought with a fresh women’s basketball silhouette crafted alongside 28-year-old Seattle Storm MVP Breana Stewart.

The Puma Stewie 1 ‘Quiet Fire’ is as electric as Stewart on the court, covered top to bottom in an ombre neon highlighter yellow-green shade. Jet black is seen on the heel while silver accents on the right outside upper and bottom sole add extra flair to the shoe. Sculpted flames on the black heel fall in line with the shoe’s ‘Quiet Fire’ theme along with the North Star inspired upper. A small neon yellow stitch on the bottom of the heel represents the past Achilles heel surgeries Stewart had to endure before her triumphant WNBA comeback in 2021.
