Now that the world has opened back up to having events, we are seeing new athletic collections sported by some of the greatest athletes around the world. One event that caught our attention was the return of the Quai 54 summer basketball tournament in Paris, France on July 17th and 18th. It is the ultimate celebration of basketball and has exhibited top-notch talent since 2003. The co-founders of the tournament, Hammadoun Sidibé, and Thibaut de Longeville also tapped Jordan this year with a new Jordan Brand x Quai 54 collaboration that was released earlier this month. Recognizing the diversity of France’s basketball talent, the collection takes inspiration from the players, audience, and setting of the world-renowned tournament.

The collection ranges from footwear to a full apparel capsule and features the tournament logo’s geometric designs on silhouettes like the Air Jordan 5, the Air Jordan 1 Low, and the Air Jordan 35 Low. For the apparel, the collection comes with hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, and shorts.

This year, we created a ‘Quai 54’ graphic motif inspired by the traditional West African fabric patterns. We wanted to modernize the look, add some Parisian flair, and ultimately match the energy of the event and its incredible community.
— Thibaut de Longeville, Co-Founder of Quai 54.

Outside of the full collection, Jordan Brand revealed a new jersey for the French men and women’s national team. The uniform shows a color scheme derived from the country’s flag, with the Jumpman logo over the right chest opposite of France’s flag.
