Nike collabs are always interesting to examine. They sometimes connect with brands that are no strangers to the streetwear game. However, every now and then, Nike will team up with a brand that brings in a new perspective. Their latest collaboration is with French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus’ namesake brand Jacquemus that screams minimalism and luxury.

Jacquemus has been teasing their collaboration with Nike since May and lets just say, we were drawn in immediately. Jacquemus, known for their micro bags and sexy yet minimal detailing, are bringing us Nike’s next female-focused collection. The Nike x Jacquemus Collection is based on a belief that sport isn’t simply about performance, it is also an expansion of style and self. When looking at the moodboard for the collection, it’s clear what the inspiration was. The goal was to create a collection that combined the French designer’s appreciation for nature and his fascination with the sport of tennis and the style associated with sport. Taking on a more sensual approach with minimal detailing that supports movement brings us a collection unlike anything we’ve seen before. In the age of all over branding, this collection is definitely providing something refreshing.

So far from what we have seen, this collection has a neutral color palette and includes both apparel and footwear. From what the designer has revealed via his Instagram, the collection will include women’s and unisex sizing and is said to be relatively affordable with the more pricey pieces being around $175 USD. From what we can see so far the footwear options seem to have Lahar Low vibes and made of a suede upper. Check out the images below for a better insight into what the collection is all about.

WHEN IS THE NIKE X JACQUEMUS COLleCTION releasing?

At the moment, details surrounding around the collection have been kept under wraps. However, Jacquemus has revealed that the full Nike x Jacquemus Collection in all its glory will be revealed at the brand’s next fashion show entitled ‘Le Papier’ set to take place on June 27th. The collection is set to drop the very next day, June 28th, via Jacquemus.com. With little room between the full reveal and the drop we expect this collection to fly off the e-shelves.
