The adidas Original Stan Smith has taken on new life over the last year and, with countless iterations, have become a bit saturated. Let's keep it real here - the Stan Smith, as classic as it is, has gotten a bit "hey there's a new Stan Smith colorway - meh."
But...that all changed (for me, at least) when I spotted the latest adidas Stan Smith collab as the German brand links with the legendary Horween Leather Company for a premium take on the classic silhouette.
Optioned in low-top and mid-cut models, the tan sneakers are draped in luxurious Horween leather, with perforated Three Stripes branding on the side. Embossed tagging takes over the tongue, while white laces contrast beautifully with the matching midsole.
You're probably thinking, "yea, these are nice but I'm not trying to pay $400 for some Stan Smith's." Which, coincidently, was exactly the thought that brought me down to earth after my initial high. However, adidas did us all a solid and kept the price point reasonable. How reasonable? The lows will retail for $150 USD and the mids for just $10 more.
That's just a win in my book and, in case you couldn't tell, we're going with COP over can for this one.
The adidas Originals Stan Smith “Horween Leather” pack will arrive on October 9th at select retailers and online at adidas.com. Will you cop?
