As we’re celebrating Women’s History Month all March (and beyond honestly), we are so elated to see the ladies who are paving the way in key brand positions. Boston-based Reebok has been positioned as a name to know in the sneaker game since way back when. The 80s babies (like myself) appreciate the influence and importance of OG shoes like the ‘Freestyle Hi’ and more classics that we still rock daily. Reebok continues to put a focus on integrating heritage into present day innovation. With that, the brand is expanding their roster with very important people.

You may know Portia Blunt as a major advocate for racial equity in footwear. From virtual summits with Footwear News to playing a key role on New Balance’s diversity council, Portia is about impactful change in this space.

Reebok announced that Portia will be serving as the new VP of Apparel and we couldn’t be more excited for her. Reporting to Reebok’s SVP of Global Product, Portia will oversee critical areas to include material design, innovation, and global operations.

Portia is a tremendous addition to our team and will be instrumental in helping shape and grow our apparel business moving forward.
— Matt O'Toole, Reebok President

Honestly, we are very excited to see how Portia infuses her talents into the Reebok brand. While starting her career in apparel design, Portia has been a guiding light in many areas. The importance of her work around diversity and inclusion continued the messaging of representation that is essential in the sneaker industry. Notably, she has molded the critical work around inclusion and was responsible for New Balance’s first-ever Black History Month collection last year. Reebok really brought on a gem and we love to see it.
