SneakHer Assembly: CNK's Editors Chat About The Adidas Superstar Luxe Boots

We've been gone for a minute now we're back with the jump off! Last time, the SNEAKHER ASSEMBLY dished out our thoughts on the Nike Vandal 2k, and your favorite editors are back and ready to share our thoughts on one of the latest sneakers from the Three Stripes. We're talking about their new Superstar Luxe Boots, you read that right... adidas has turned one of their popular silhouettes into a fall-ready boot.

We thought we would go ahead and share our thoughts with our CNK Crew because we're all family, and sharing is caring, right? RIGHT. If you want to know what Cassidy and I initially thought of these boots, continue reading below.

TICARA: I got a preview of these while I was doing the weekly Sneaker Roundup on CNK. I instantly was drawn to them. They remind me of Doc Martens or any other type of combat boot situation. I’m glad they’ve kept the adidas branding very subtle and didn’t make the three stripes a prominent aspect of the shoe instead they kept everything minimal which works in this situation. They’re leather all around from the upper to the shoe lining. I can see my girls who are a bit risky potentially grabbing these boots. Fall is approaching and these are going to look just fine with a peacoat. However, I don’t know how these would look in other fall colors but the black does these guys justice.

CASSIDY: Well well well, what do we have here? While I am a huge proponent of bold looks and thinking outside the box (pun intended), I will have to politely decline adding these to my wish list. Fall is on the way, and sneaker boots will pop up on the e-shelves, but I like to keep classic sneaker silhouettes in their lane while combat boots stay in another. Don't get me wrong here. New colorways, materials, and collabs are welcome. The black leather adds to the premium look that adidas is going for, but I just don't prefer to splice my sneakers with boots.

I can admit to loving the militant/utility style of a certain Swoosh iteration, but it has more of a street feel versus a luxe one. I'd rather buy a Timberland boot or even a Dr. Marten which was a staple in the my childhood.

WHAT'S THE VERDICT CNK CREW?  Are these a Cop or Can?  If you're feeling the boots, you can SHOP THE SNEAKS below for $200 USD and get a jump start on your fall wardrobes.
