The adidas Ozweego May Be The Change We Were Looking For
After seeing iteration after iteration of the adidas Falcon, we posed a question to our IG Stories with a specific inquiry: is the Falcon still your summer shoe? A vast majority of you agreed that Three Stripes needed to bring something more for summer 2019. Look no further than the Ozweego.
Although we associate the adidas Ozweego line with Raf Simons thanks in large part to a slew of collaborations, it is n fact a Three Stripes running classic straight out of the late 1990s. And, it looks like it's making it's market return this year in a bold one that’s set to make a return to market this year. It’s already surfaced in both a bold green and WE ARE HERE FOR IT.
The mesh upper brings the neon green, while the adiPRENE midsole opts for a cool mint to keep the colors neutral. More neon green appears on the leather eyestays, but the rest of the accents opt for dark accents with a black neoprene heel piece, black leather tongue/midfoot overlay, and black Three Stripes graphic with a peek of burgundy. Translucent plastic tubing runs through the neck of the shoe and all the way around the heel, while a black outsole rounds out the composition.
The Ozweego is set to begin rolling out later this year, but we'll keep you up to date on official release dates. Until then, get a closer look at this Ozweego up top and shop a few of our favorite Adidas drops (including those Raf Simmons Ozweegos) in the slider below.
