Adidas is back again with a collaboration that redefines those iconic stripes. This time, Adidas sought out emerging designer, Ji Won Choi. This pairing makes so much sense when you look at Choi’s previous work. The New York based designer centers her collections on “investigating human cultures and using design to promote inclusivity, sustainability and positive change.” Discovered on Instagram by Adidas’ Director of Special Projects, Alexandra Weiland, Choi is added to the list of many emerging women designers that the brand has worked with. The duo’s collection debuted during London Fashion Week and grabbed a lot of attention.

The idea was to take the very classic Adidas tracksuit and reinterpret it with my aesthetic in five different ways. I took the very iconic Adidas stripes and repeated it everywhere to create a consistent and cohesive visual language and merge it with the sportiness and playfulness of the brand.

From exaggerated silhouettes to layered bodysuits, this collection stays true to Choi’s design ethos while still keeping with the sporty vibes of Adidas. The collection features two styles of track jackets and pants, shorts, bodysuits, a jumpsuit, and a couple of swimsuits. Keeping it simple and classic, the collection debuted in a color palette of green, red, blue, and purple. Take a look at a few images from the LFW show below!

This collection is full of looks. I love that the items can be mixed and matched to create something that is specific to you. Slated to released February 23, the prices will range from $70-$150, depending on item. If this collaboration is a must cop, you can SHOP THE COLLECTION below on release day!
